I’ll drink to that

At the White Birch Kitchen and Juice Bar (170 East Main Street, Abingdon, Virginia 24210; 276-608-0541) the drinks are described as “fresh, nutritious and delicious” and that goes for the food menu, too. The menu features fresh-pressed juices and craft cocktails along with locally sourced breakfast and lunch fare.

On a visit to The Spring House (112 Court Street, Abingdon, Virginia 24210; 276-477-7444) visitors are encouraged to relax and enjoy a beverage from three specially curated menus. Wolf Hills Coffee offers single-origin and blended coffees, roasted in-house. At Tumbling Creek Cider Company they take pride in the variety of rich apple flavors they serve, made from southwest Virginia apples that are on-site. Appalachian Teas & Botanicals is a retail shop, tearoom and gathering place filled with products designed by the owner, using local plants and herbs and a wealth of experience.

Down the street and later in the day, local craft beer and wine are favorites. Wolf Hills Brewing (149 Deadmore Street, Abingdon, Virginia 24210; 276-477-1953) creates year-round and seasonal brew and Abingdon Vineyards (20530 Alvarado Road, Abingdon, Virginia 24211; 276-623-1255) serves world-class wines. Both are popular for their family-friendly venues and year-round live music as well as their outstanding beverages.
