If you’re a fan of massive gas stations, delicious snacks, and clean restrooms, get ready—Buc-ee’s might be coming to Monroe County, Georgia! This potential new location, just off I-75 near the Rumble Road exit, could mark another milestone for Buc-ee’s expansion in the Peach State.

Buc-ee’s Expansion Plan

Buc-ee’s, renowned for its larger-than-life convenience stores and cult following, is eyeing Monroe County for its next Georgia outpost. According to Stan Beard, Jr., Director of Real Estate for Buc-ee’s, the company is actively pursuing a location near the northwest corner of Rumble Road and I-75. This site, adjacent to Meadows Clay Shooting, promises to bring Buc-ee’s famous offerings closer to Central Georgia residents and I-75 travelers.

Community Impact and Approval Process

Joyce White, President of the Development Authority of Monroe County, highlighted the economic and social benefits that a Buc-ee’s could bring. Pending zoning approval from the Monroe County Commission, expected by December, this development could create approximately 200 full-time jobs.

“Something was going to come there,” White stated, emphasizing the positive impact of having Buc-ee’s as a neighbor due to its reputation as a responsible community member.

Timeline and Construction

If approved, construction could begin soon after zoning clearance, with an estimated 15-month timeline from groundbreaking to grand opening. This swift turnaround underscores Buc-ee’s commitment to bringing its unique blend of convenience and hospitality to Monroe County expeditiously.

Buc-ee’s Appeal: Why It Matters

Buc-ee’s isn’t just another gas station—it’s a destination. Known for its vast selection of snacks, freshly prepared food, and famously clean facilities, Buc-ee’s has become a beloved stop for road trippers and locals alike. The expansion into Monroe County would not only enhance travel convenience but also elevate the local economy through job creation and increased tourism.

As Buc-ee’s continues to expand its footprint across Georgia, the potential opening in Monroe County represents more than just another convenience store. It signifies growth, opportunity, and community partnership—a testament to Buc-ee’s commitment to quality and service.
