The Michigan Department of Transportation is adding an overlay to the area of northbound I-75 at Gardenia Avenue to improve tire grip on the road surface. As a result Northbound I-75 will have the two left lanes closed from I-696 to 12 Mile Road, leaving one lane open. Motorists can expect delays and are advised to seek an alternate route.

Traffic restrictions this weekend will take place starting Friday, July 15 at 10:00 pm and end Monday, July 18 at 5:00 am.

This project is weather dependent and requires two weekends of work.
