The Georgia Department of Transportation (DOT) is advising motorists on I-75 in northwest Georgia of a traffic shift on I-75 South at the Rocky Face Interchange/Exit 336 in Whitfield County, scheduled for Friday, October 28. The three southbound lanes of I-75 will be shifted from their current location towards the inside shoulder to allow for work on trying the newly constructed exit ramp into the interstate. This construction operation is expected to take approximately two months to complete. The scheduled traffic shift is weather permitting and subject to change.

This traffic shift marks the final phase of construction on the Rocky Face Interchange in Whitfield County. The project also includes the construction of four bridges and installation of intersection video detection systems. Work on this project began late September 2013. The entire project is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year, at a construction cost of nearly $34 million.
