In order to facilitate increased traffic flow during the Thanksgiving holiday, The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will limit construction activity on Interstate 75 in from November 27 to December 1.

That said, construction zones will remain in place and motorists must still exercise caution when driving through areas under construction, as traffic patterns may include driving on temporary pavement and shifting lanes. Major interstate projects where construction zones will be encountered are: the I-4 Ultimate, I-4 Beyond the Ultimate, the I-95 widening project in Volusia County, I-75 near the Florida’s Turnpike in Sumter County, and at I-75 and State Road (S.R.) 200 in Ocala.

The FDOT wishes everyone a safe and happy Thanksgiving holiday. Remember to buckle up and avoid distractions while driving.
