The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) reports that beginning at 10:00 p.m., Tuesday, July 16 to 5:00 a.m., Wednesday, July 17, all travel lanes on SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) over I-75 will close between Falkenburg Road and Williams Road, weather permitting.

Electronic message boards and temporary signage will assist motorists traveling on SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) via the posted detour route using US 301, I-4, and Mango Road.

In addition, southbound I-75 motorists needing to access SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) will exit the interstate using Exit 257; either continue west onto SR 60 (Adamo Drive), north onto US 301 or proceed east onto SR 60 (Brandon Boulevard), north onto Lakewood Drive toward SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard). Northbound I-75 motorists needing to access SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) will proceed toward I-4 (Exit 261), continue west toward Exit 7, south onto US 301, or east toward Exit 10, and south onto Mango Road.

Drivers should use caution while traveling through the work zone and are reminded to remain alert for construction workers.

This temporary closure is part of the I-75 ramp configuration and interchange modifications from SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) to I-4 in Hillsborough County. Construction activities are expected to finish during summer 2025.
