Georgia DOT Suspends Roadwork on I-75 for Christmas and New Year Holidays

The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) continues essential road work throughout the state. As a result, work on construction and maintenance projects will continue Saturday, December 18 through Thursday, December 23.

All work subject to change due to weather or other factors. Motorists are cautioned to reduce their speed while traveling thru work zones, pay attention and watch for workers.

To ease holiday weekend traffic congestion, the Georgia Department of Transportation is suspending construction-related lane closures beginning 5:00 a.m., Thursday, December 23, until 11:00 p.m., Sunday, December 26, and 5:00 a.m., Friday, December 31, 2021 until 11:00 p.m., Monday, January 3, 2022.
