The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will perform critical preventive maintenance and repair work on the I-75 bridge over the River Raisin in Monroe.

Work is scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m. on Sunday, March 15, 2020.

The north and southbound lanes will be maintained with traffic shifts to one side during construction. Delays are expected; an alternate route is advised.

Performing regular maintenance on bridges helps improve and extend the service life of these structures. Closing lanes during this type of work is necessary to provide the safest work area possible for crews and motorists.

The project is estimated to be completed in November 2020.
