I-75 Closures, Detours in Ohio This Weekend and Beyond

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) reports that, as part of the Interstate 74/75 Mill Creek Expressway – Phase 5B project, lane restrictions will be in place during the overnight hours through the weekend, including a weekend closure of the ramp from I-75 North to I-74 West. 

Saturday, August 24:

  • Closure of the off-ramp from I-75 North to Sharon Road, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Saturday. Motorists may detour via I-275 West and the S.R. 747/Princeton Road interchange to I-275 East and I-75 South to Sharon Road.
  • Closure of the on-ramp from Sharon Road to I-75 North, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Saturday. Motorists should detour via local roadways.
  • Closure of the off-ramp from I-75 South to Sharon Road, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Saturday. Motorists should detour via local roadways.
  • Closure of Spring Grove Avenue between Colerain Avenue and Millcreek Road, from 10:00 p.m. to 10:00 a.m. Saturday. Motorists will be detoured by way of Monmouth Avenue, Central Parkway, and Ludlow Avenue.

Friday-Monday, August 23-26:

  • Single-lane (left lane) closure on I-74 West, between the I-75 overpass bridge and the Spring Grove overpass, beginning at 8:00 p.m. Friday and continuing until 6:00 a.m. Monday.
  • Closure of the ramp from I-75 North to I-74 West, from 9:00 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday. Motorists will be detoured by way of northbound I-75 to the Mitchell Avenue exit (Exit 6) to I-75 South to I-74 West at Exit 4.
  • Closure of the Hopple Street on-ramp to I-74 West, from 9:00 p.m. Friday to 5:00 a.m. Monday.  

Additional restrictions may also be in effect on I-75 North and South through the work zone. Motorists are reminded of the need for additional caution at all times.
