The Georgia Department of Transportation reports that construction crews have closed one southbound lane of Interstate 75 near the Interstate 475 split through this weekend, to Monday morning, Aug. 23, 2021 as they continue the rehabilitation of the Interstate 475 bridge over US 41/Georgia 19.

The single lane closure extends from one mile west of the Interstate 475 split (milepost 178) to one mile east of the split (milepost 176). The closure will be in effect to 6:00 a.m., Monday morning, Aug. 23.

Signage will be posted in advance of the lane closure, and orange and white barrels or cones will block the closed lanes. Drivers should watch for the signs and should moderate their speeds and drive with caution through the active work zone.
