I-75 Lane, Ramp Closures, Detours in Dayton Area Next Week

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) reports the following construction projects that are anticipated to affect I-75 in Montgomery County (Dayton metro area) next week. All outlined work is weather permitting.

Interstate 75 Reconstruction in Moraine (S.R. 725/U.S. 35) – I-75 will be reconstructed between S.R. 725 and U.S. 35. I-75 will experience major reconstruction including a traffic pattern shift, ramp closures, and lane restrictions in each direction. This project includes new pavement, storm sewers, lighting, and minor bridge repairs. Estimated completion: Summer 2025.

New I-75 Traffic Impacts

Interstate 75 Lane Closures – Expect overnight intermittent lane closures on I-75 in each direction between U.S. 35 and Miamisburg-Centerville Road (SR 725) from Monday, March 25 through Tuesday, October 15. Lane closures will be nightly from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Crews will be completing miscellaneous projects as part of the ongoing reconstruction project. 

Continuing I-75 Traffic Impacts

Dryden Road Ramp Closure – The Ramp from Dryden Road to I-75 North will be closed through July 2025. This closure is necessary to reconstruct I-75 in this area.

  • Detour:  Dryden Rd. to Northlawn Ave. to Springboro Pike (S.R. 741) to I-75 North

Dryden Road Ramp Closure – The Ramp from I-75 South to Dryden Road will be closed through July 2025. This closure is necessary to reconstruct I-75 in this area.

  • Detour:  I-75 South to E. Dixie Dr. to Dryden Rd

Interstate 75 Lane Closures – Expect intermittent lane closures on I-75 in each direction between U.S. 35 and Miamisburg-Centerville Road (SR 725) through April 2024 on Thursday nights. Lane closures will be nightly from 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m. Crews will be completing maintenance repairs. 

Interstate 75 Rehabilitation in Dayton (S.R. 4/ Needmore Rd.) –     I-75 will be reconstructed between S.R. 4 and Needmore Road.  I-75 will experience major reconstruction including a traffic pattern shift, ramp closures, and lane restrictions in each direction. This project includes rehabilitation and new pavement. Estimated completion: Summer 2026.

Continuing I-75 Traffic Impacts

Interstate 75 Lane Shift – Expect three 11′ lanes on I-75 in each direction to shift to the right through April of 2024. Crews will be completing work on the interior lanes on both sides of the median. This new traffic pattern will maintain three lanes of traffic in each direction.
