The Florida Department of Transportation reports that the northbound I-75 ramp from Big Bend Road is closing from 10:00 p.m., Sunday, October 25 to 5:00 a.m., Monday, October 26, weather permitting.

During this closure, westbound motorists will continue traveling on Big Bend Road, north on US Highway 41, east on Gibsonton Drive onto the northbound I-75 entrance ramp. Eastbound motorists will continue traveling on Big Bend Road, north on US 301, west on Gibsonton Drive onto the northbound I-75 entrance ramp.

Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will be used to assist motorists traveling through each detour route. Motorists should anticipate delays and congestion while traveling on these roadways during this detour.

These is temporary closure is part of the $20.1 million repaving project of I-75 between the Manatee County Line and Big Bend Road in Hillsborough County.
