I-75 Ramp Closures, Detours in Pasco County Sunday Night

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) reports that the northbound and southbound I-75 exit ramps to CR 41 /Blanton Road (Exit 293) will be closed one at a time between 9:00 p.m. Sunday, June 4 and 4:00 a.m. Monday, June 5. The closures will shift to Monday night if weather postpones the work.

Each ramp is expected to be closed one to three hours for a contractor to install pavement markings on the ramps. The northbound exit ramp is planned to close first Sunday night and be reopened by midnight; the southbound exit ramp is expected to close around 1:00 a.m. Monday. In case of any work delays, drivers are advised to be prepared for either ramp to be closed during the overall closure window between 9:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. and to add extra time to travel schedules.

Northbound Exit 293 Detour: Continue northbound on I-75 and use Exit 301 to SR 50/Cortez Boulevard. Turn right and travel east on SR 50 to US 98. Turn right and travel south on US 98/US 301 to Payne Road. Turn right onto Payne Road and go west/south on Payne Road/14th Street to Frazee Hill Road. Turn right onto Frazee Hill Road and go west to Blanton Road. Turn right onto Blanton Road to head back towards I-75.

Southbound Exit 293 Detour: Continue southbound on I-75 and use Exit 285 to SR 52. Turn right and travel west on SR 52 to Bellamy Brothers Boulevard (CR 581). Turn right onto Bellamy Brothers Blvd. and go north to Johnston Road. Turn right onto Johnston Road and travel east to Lake Iola Road. Turn left onto Lake Iola Road and go north to Blanton Road. Turn right to travel east on Blanton Road towards I-75.
