The Florida Department of Transportation reports that the southbound I-75 ramp from Big Bend Road is closing 10:00 p.m., Monday, October 26 to 5:00 a.m., Tuesday, October 27, weather permitting.
During this closure, motorists will be detoured around the work zone. Westbound motorists will continue traveling on Big Bend Road, south on US Highway 41, east on College Avenue onto the southbound I-75 entrance ramp. Eastbound motorist will continue traveling on Big Bend Road, south on US 301, west on Sun City Center Boulevard onto the southbound I-75 entrance ramp.
Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will be used to assist motorists traveling through each detour route. Motorists may anticipate possible delays and congestion while traveling on these roadways during this detour.
These temporary closures are part of the $20.1 million repaving project of I-75 between the Manatee County Line and Big Bend Road in Hillsborough County.
