I-75 Ramp in Florida to Close, Traffic Detoured for Two Nights

The Florida Department of Transportation reports that the southbound I-75 entrance ramp from Big Bend Road will close Wednesday, February 19 and Thursday, February 20 from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m., weather permitting.
 
During these closures, motorists will be detoured around the work zone. Westbound motorists will continue on Big Bend Road, south on US Highway 41, east on College Avenue onto the southbound I-75 entrance ramp. Eastbound motorist will continue on Big Bend Road, south on US 301, west on Sun City Center Boulevard onto the southbound I-75 entrance ramp.
 
Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will be used to assist motorists traveling through the detour route. Motorists may anticipate heavier than normal volumes of traffic on nearby roads during these nightly detours.
 
These temporary closures are part of the $20.1 million repaving project of I-75 between the Manatee County Line and Big Bend Road in Hillsborough County.
