The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be closing two lanes on southbound I-75 from Otter Creek Road to Erie Road and both Luna Pier ramps to southbound I-75 Friday for concrete patching, drainage construction, and stage change setup in this work zone.
The double-lane lane closures will begin at 7:00 pm on Friday, March 10 and will be completed by Wednesday, March 15 at 6:00 am
This work will also require closing the eastbound and westbound Luna Pier ramps to I-75 from 7:00 a.m. Friday, March 10, until 7:00 p.m. Monday, March 13.
I-75 traffic delays are anticipated. MDOT recommends that motorists seek alternate routes.
MDOT is investing approximately $126 million to rebuild more than 4 miles of I-75 between Erie Road and Otter Creek, including rebuilding five bridges along with the ramps at Otter Creek and Luna Pier Roads. Most work for this project will be performed in 2023-2024, with preparations taking place this year.
