The Florida Department of Transportation reports the following traffic impacts for I-75 work in the Tampa Bay area this week:
- The northbound I-75 ramp from Big Bend Road is closing from 10:00 p.m., Thursday, December 3 to 5:00 a.m., Friday, December 4, weather permitting.
- Â During this closure, westbound motorists will continue traveling on Big Bend Road, north on US Highway 41, east on Gibsonton Drive onto the northbound I-75 entrance ramp. Eastbound motorists will continue traveling on Big Bend Road, north on US 301, west on Gibsonton Drive onto the northbound I-75 entrance ramp.
- The southbound I-75 ramp (Exit 246) to Big Bend Road is closing from 10 p.m., Friday, December 4 to 5 a.m. Saturday, December 5, weather permitting.
- During this closure, motorists will be detoured around the work zone using Gibsonton Drive (Exit 250), continue west on Gibsonton Drive, south on US 41 to eastbound Big Bend Road.
Advanced warning signs and electronic message boards will be used to assist motorists traveling through each detour route. Motorists should anticipate delays and congestion while traveling on these roadways during this detour.

This temporary closure is part of the $20.1 million repaving project of I-75 between the Manatee County Line and Big Bend Road in Hillsborough County.
