The Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) reports the following traffic impacts associated with I-75 construction and maintenance work from May 10 thru May 15. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.

ANDERSON COUNTY – I-75 North and South Bridge over Clinch River near Mile Marker 126: Beginning 6:00 p.m. Sunday, May 12, 2024, I-75 North and South will be reduced to one lane near Mile Marker 126 as crews perform bridge repairs.  These lane reductions will be in place around the clock and estimated to reopen on or before May 24, 2024.  Motorists should expect potential long delays during peak travel times.  To reduce queue lengths and minimize delays, this work zone will implement a “Late Merge” or “Zipper Merge”.  When traffic is heavy, motorists should use both lanes up to the closure point and take turns merging.  Motorists should be alert for workers present, slow or stopped traffic, and use extreme caution through this area.

CAMPBELL COUNTY – I-75 North and South between Mile Markers 148 and 150: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures nightly Sundays through Thursdays between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. the following morning through this project. Motorists should be alert for workers present, slow or stopped traffic, expect potential delays, and use extreme caution in this area.

CAMPBELL COUNTY – I-75 North and South between Mile Markers 156 and 161: Motorists should be alert for possible temporary lane closures nightly between the hours of 7:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. the following morning through this project. Motorists should be alert for workers present, slow or stopped traffic, expect potential delays, and use extreme caution in this area.

KNOX COUNTY – Various Interstates through Knoxville: Motorists should be alert for possible mobile lane closures nightly between the hours of 8 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following morning as crews perform roadway maintenance activities.
