Lane Closures, Traffic Impacts for I-75 Construction in Florida

The Florida Department of Transportation reports the following traffic impacts associated with the widening of I-75 from south of US 98/SR 50 (Cortez Blvd.) to Sumter County.

I-75 south of US98/SR 50 (Exit 301) to Sumter County line

  • Day lane closures: Friday, September 6 through Saturday, September 14 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Night lane closures: Friday, September 6 through Friday, September 13 from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

I-75 interchange ramps (Exit 275) at SR 56 (Diverging Diamond Interchange project)

  • Lane closures/traffic shifts on exit and entrance ramps Sunday, September 8 through Friday, September 13 from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 am.

US 98/SR 50/Cortez Boulevard: 1/2 mile each side of I-75

  • Day lane closures: Friday, September 6 through Saturday, September 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
  • Night lane closures: Friday, September 6 through Friday, September 13 from 6:30 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.

Croom Rital Road: under I-75

  • Daily lane closures with flagging operations: Friday, September 6 through Saturday, September 14 from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
