The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will be replacing the northbound and southbound bridge decks on I-75 over Trowbridge Road, south of Wolverine in Cheboygan County. The project includes bridge work and repairing the approaches to the bridges.
Work on the northbound bridge starts on September 3, 2024, and should finish by November 15, 2024, depending on the weather. During construction, traffic on I-75 will be redirected using temporary crossovers in the freeway median, keeping one lane open in each direction.
Trowbridge Road will have one lane open with alternating traffic controlled by a temporary traffic light.
This $4.8 million investment will help keep the bridges safe and strong for the future.
