Lane, Ramp Closures, Detours for Major I-75 Construction Projects in Ohio

The Ohio Department of Transportation reports the following traffic impacts associated with I-75 construction projects now underway on Interstate 75, through July and beyond.

I-75/Mill Creek Expressway Major Rehabilitation

Major rehabilitation project at the I-74/75 interchange to widen and resurface I-75 between Paddock Road and the Western Hills Viaduct and reconfigure the interchange. Work also includes interchange improvements at Hopple Street, I-74, Mitchell Avenue, Norwood Lateral and Paddock Road. Various lane closures and restrictions will be in effect as needed, including the following:

  • Sunday, July 17:
    • Single-lane closure on I-75 North, between the Hopple Street and Mitchell Avenue interchanges, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Monday.
    • Closure of the ramp from Hopple Street to I-75 North, from 10:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. Monday. Traffic will be detoured via I-74 West and the Montana Avenue exit to I-74 East and I-75 North. 
  • Monday & Tuesday, July 18 & 19:
    1. Single-lane closure on I-75 South, between Mitchell Avenue and Hopple Street, from 8:00 p.m. each night to 6:00 a.m. the following day.

I-75 Thru the Valley Major Rehabilitation – Between Glendale-Milford Road and the Kemper Road overpass. Various lane and shoulder restrictions will be in effect on the mainline, as well as intermittent restrictions at the ramps at the Sharon Road interchange.

I-75 Bridge (Ramp) Repair – At the ramp from I-75 North to I-275 West, which carries traffic over I-75. Intermittent lane restrictions and ramp closures will be in effect during evening and overnight hours. The project is scheduled to be completed in early fall of 2022. 

I-75 Resurfacing – On I-75 North and South, between the Brent Spence Bridge and Harrison Avenue. Intermittent lane restrictions and ramp closures will be in effect during hours of operation, including the following:

  • Monday-Thursday, July 18-21:
    • Double-lane closures on I-75 North from 9:00 p.m. each night to 6 a.m. the following day for bridge repairs at three structures between Liberty and Bank streets.
  • Friday, July 22, 2022
    • Double-lane closures on I-75 South near the Harrison Avenue underpass, from 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Saturday, July 23.
