The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) reports that the following lane restriction will be in place on the Interstate 75/I-74 Mill Creek Expressway – Phase 5B project this week. All work is weather dependent and subject to change.

Monday & Tuesday, June 24 & 25:

  • Full closure of the ramp from southbound Beekman Street to I-74 East, between 7:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m. the following day. During closure, traffic will be detoured via Beekman Street, Dreman Avenue, Dirr Street, Elmore Street, Beekman Street, I-74 West, and the Montana Avenue Texas Turnaround.
  • Close the right lane on I-74 East, from the southbound Beekman Street overpass bridge to Elmore Street, between 7 p.m. and 6 a.m. the following day.

During the 2024 construction season, the Mill Creek Expressway – Phase 5B project will see the reconstruction of the I-74 bridges over Spring Grove Avenue and Elmore Street, as well as the replacement of median barrier, pavement, highway lighting, signage, traffic monitoring system, noise walls, bridge painting, and drainage.

This $84.9 million construction project, which began in the spring of 2022, is on schedule to be completed in the summer of 2025.
