Lane, Ramp Closures for Major Rehabilitation Project on I-75 in Ohio

The Ohio Department of Transportation reports that the following traffic advisory includes restrictions on Interstate 75 in Hamilton and Butler Counties. All work will be contingent upon the weather.

Hamilton County

  • I-75/Mill Creek Expressway Major Rehabilitation
    • Major rehabilitation project at the I-74/75 interchange to widen and resurface I-75 between Paddock Road and the Western Hills Viaduct and reconfigure the interchange. Work also includes interchange improvements at Hopple Street, I-74, Mitchell Avenue, Norwood Lateral and Paddock Road. Various lane closures will be in effect in the construction zone, including one lane of I-74 West that is closed between I-75 North and the ramp from I-75 South through early October for paving.
  • I-75/Thru the Valley Major Rehabilitation
    • Between Glendale-Milford Road and the Kemper Road overpass. Construction includes adding a fourth lane in each direction, as well as adding capacity at the Sharon Road interchange and at Sharon Road and Chester Road. The following restrictions will be in effect September 10-12:
      • Friday, Sept. 10 – Single-lane closure on I-75 South from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.
      • Saturday, Sept. 11 – Consecutive closures of the exit ramps from I-75 South and North to Sharon Road from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 12.
      • Sunday, Sept. 12 – Single-lane closure on I-75 North from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday, Sept. 13.

Butler County

  • I-75 Resurfacing
    • Pavement repair and resurfacing between the Hamilton-Butler County line (Crescentville Road) to just north of Tylersville Road. Traffic will be maintained with single-lane restrictions in effect through the work zone; double-lane closures may be in effect during late evening/overnight hours as needed. A reduced speed limit is also in effect. The project is scheduled for completion in mid-fall.
  • I-75 Resurfacing
    • From just north of Tylersville Road to the S.R. 129/Liberty Way interchange. Traffic will be maintained through the work zone, with nightly lane closures in effect during the late evening and overnight hours. Various nightly ramp closures will also be in effect at Tylersville Road, Liberty Way and S.R. 129. A reduced speed limit will be in effect. The project is scheduled for completion in early fall.
