Lane Shifts, Closures, Traffic Pacing for I-75 Exit Work in Tennessee

The Tennessee Department of Transportation reports the following traffic impacts associated with the I-75/I-24 interchange construction in Hamilton County this week.

Phase 1 traffic shifts have been implemented. Traffic should expect multiple lane shifts traveling through the interchange. Lane closures will occur Sunday nights through Thursdays nights between 9:00 PM and 6:00 AM at the following locations:

  • I-75 Northbound at state line
  • I-75 Northbound at Mile Marker 2
  • I-75 Southbound at Mile Marker 3
  • I-24 Eastbound at Mile Marker 184 and
  • I-24 Westbound at Mile Marker 185.

Traffic pacing will also occur for I-75 NB, I-75 SB, and I-24 EB. Additionally, there may intermittent shoulder closures at various locations for access to the median and roadside areas.

The speed limit has been reduced to 45 MPH throughout the interchange.
