The Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contractors will install ramp lane shifts related to bridge rehabilitation activities on the I-75 HOV ramp to Memorial Drive in the City of Atlanta, Fulton County this weekend.
Weather permitting, the ramp lanes from the I-75 HOV lane to the Memorial Drive exit (247) will be shifted overnight beginning 10:00 p.m. on Friday, October 9 through 5:00 a.m. Monday, October 12. These traffic impacts are scheduled to continue on weekends through the end of November 2020.
This traffic shift is needed to rehabilitate, repair and preserve the bridge structure; the entire project will rehabilitate five bridges on I-20 and five bridges on I-75 within the City.
Message boards will give drivers advance notice of the upcoming closures. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use alternate routes, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones.
