Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) contractors will install ramp lane closures related to bridge rehabilitation activities on the I-20 /I-75 interchange in the City of Atlanta, Fulton County this weekend.
Weather permitting, one center lane will be closed on the I-20 westbound exit ramp to I-75 southbound beginning 10:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12 through 5:00 a.m. on Monday, June 15.
This work is needed to rehabilitate, repair and preserve the bridge structure; the entire project will perform these activities on five bridges on I-20 and five bridges on I-75 within the City. These closures will help ensure safety of work crews and drivers as crews perform maintenance and preservation activities to the bridge structure.
Message boards will give drivers advance notice of the upcoming closures. Motorists are advised to expect delays and use alternate routes, exercise caution, and reduce their speed while traveling through work zones.
