The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) reports that all motorists traveling on northbound I-75 will have to detour off the interstate using SR 574/Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (Exit 260A) from 11:00 p.m. Monday, December 11 to 4:30 a.m. Tuesday, December 12, weather permitting.

During this nighttime closure, all northbound motorists will exit I-75 using Exit 260A, remain east on SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard), turn north onto Mango Road, proceed onto the westbound I-4 entrance ramp, and remain on I-4 toward the entrance ramp to northbound I-75.

Electronic message boards and advance warning signs will assist motorists traveling through the area.

Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers.

This temporary closure is necessary for crews to perform overhead bridge work as part of the I-75 ramp configuration and interchange modifications from SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) to I-4 in Hillsborough County.

The $89.7 million project is converting the I-75 interchange at SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) into a diverging diamond interchange and adding a two-lane collector-distributor roadway along the east side of northbound I-75 to access I-4.

Construction activities are expected to finish in 2025.
