The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) reports that all motorists traveling on northbound I-75 will have to detour off the interstate using SR 574/Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard (Exit 260A) on Tuesday, April 23 from 11:00 p.m. to 4:30 a.m., weather permitting.
During these nighttime closures, all northbound motorists will exit the interstate using Exit 260A, remain east on SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard), turn north onto Mango Road, proceed onto the westbound I-4 entrance ramp, and remain on I-4 toward the entrance ramp to northbound I-75.
Electronic message boards and advance warning signs will assist motorists traveling through the area. Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zone and remain alert for construction workers.
These temporary closures are necessary for crews to perform overhead bridge work as part of the I-75 ramp configuration and interchange modifications from SR 574 (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard) to I-4 in Hillsborough County. Construction activities are expected to finish in 2025.
