Traffic Impacts on I-75 in Central Florida This Week

The Florida Department of Transportation reports several lane closures on Interstate 75 in the Sumterville/Bushnell area this week.

This project consists of widen Interstate 75 (I-75) from four (4) lanes to six (6) lanes, completely reconstruct the interchange at exit 314 (State Road 48/County Road 48), update the ramps including milling and resurfacing at exit 309 (County Road 476B / County Road 673), add/adjust drainage, upgrade the Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), add/change guardrail, signalization, signing and pavement markings, and other miscellaneous structures.

Lane Closures

Sunday, August 28th, 2016 to Tuesday, August 30th, 2016
8 p.m. to 7 a.m.

  • Southbound inside lane closure from CR 470 to Gum Slough Bridge for placement of friction course. Trucks will be entering and leaving the highway.

Tuesday, August 30th, 2016 to Thursday, September 1st, 2016
8 p.m. to 7 a.m.

  • Southbound middle lane closure from CR 470 to Gum Slough Bridge for placement of friction course. Trucks will be entering and leaving the highway.

Tuesday, August 30th, 2016 to Thursday, September 1st, 2016
8 p.m. to 7 a.m.

  • Flagging operations on CR 476B at I-75 for placement of friction course. Trucks will be entering and leaving the highway. Access to the interstate will be maintained at all times.

Thursday, September 1st, 2016 to Friday, September 2nd, 2016
8 p.m. to 7 a.m.

  • Southbound outside lane closure from CR 470 to Gum Slough Bridge for placement of friction course. Trucks will be entering and leaving the highway.

Thursday, September 1st, 2016 to Friday, September 2nd, 2016
8 p.m. to 7 a.m.

  • Northbound on-ramp at Exit 309 will be closed for placement of friction course. Trucks will be entering and leaving the highway. Detour will be in effect.
