The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) reports that, weather permitting, crews will block the off-ramp from I-71/75 southbound to Covington’s Fifth Street (KY 8) on Thursday, March 20 between the hours of 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Crews will be performing geotechnical work on the ramp in this area.Â
Detour: I-71/75 southbound to Pike Street exit (Exit 191), left on Pike Street (U.S. 25), left on Main Street (U.S. 25), to W. Fifth Street.
The geotechnical work scheduled for Friday evening has been postponed. Weather permitting, this work will be rescheduled beginning Monday, March 24. Crews will work on I-71/75 northbound near the I-275 interchange. This work is expected to take 2-3 nights.
The portion of this project on I-71/75 northbound near Turfway Road has been completed.
This work is weather permitting. In the event of inclement weather, this work will be postponed.
