The Florida Department of Transportation reports that a new, temporary exit point opened for traffic exiting northbound I-75 to State Road 50/US 98 (Exit 301).
Motorists should be aware that this new exit point is about one-half mile south of the previous exit ramp, so drivers need to look to exit sooner. If drivers pass the new exit point, the next exit (CR 476/Exit 309) is about 8 miles north.
Northbound I-75 traffic was also moved to a new alignment for the next construction phases. Northbound I-75 traffic is now shifted to the west and is sharing the same bridge over SR 50/US 98 that southbound traffic is using. This traffic pattern will be in use as the former northbound bridge is removed and replaced with a longer and wider bridge. Drivers need to be extra alert in this area and be aware that traffic entering northbound I-75 from SR 50/US 98 enters about one-half mile north of the previous entry point.
