The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) reports lane and ramp closures on Interstate 75 southbound and Interstate 71 in Boone County (weather permitting).
Monday, June 12 – Thursday June 15: Shoulder Paving and Walton Ramps Paving
Beginning at 8:00 p.m. the right lane of I-75 southbound will close from mile marker 173.6 to the Boone County line; during this same time period the Walton southbound ramps will be reduced to half width.
All lanes of I-75 southbound and the Walton ramps will reopen by 6:00 a.m. the following morning.
Thursday June 15 – Saturday June 17: Shoulder Paving
Beginning at 8:00 p.m. the right lane of I-75 southbound will close from mile marker 173.6 to the Boone County line.
All lanes on I-75 southbound will reopen 6:00 a.m. the following morning.
Weather permitting, crews plan to begin working on the northbound lanes of I-75 in the project area the week of Sunday, June 18. KYTC will advise motorists of upcoming lane/ramp closures in the coming days.
Overhead and ground message boards will be in place to warn motorists of the upcoming road work. Please pay attention, and drive slowly near the work zone.
